Birds Of Chikmagalur

 The birds of Chikmagalur are the most famous of the birds of India. They are found in the Western Ghats of the state of Karnataka, India. Their scientific name is "Chimarra dharmagansa" which means "The dharmagansa bird".

One of the most accessible forest areas in India, Chikmagalur is one of the places where you can easily view the wildlife of the southern region of the country. The Chikmagalur Tiger Reserve acts as the last sanctuary for the Royal Bengal Tigers in the Indian subcontinent.
