Riverwoods Homestay in Chikmagalur

 Coffee has always been the heart of Riverwoods Homestay. Even before the place was built, it was the source of conversation at the farmhouse. The story is told, in all its glory, that when the coffee plant was brought to the farm, the first seeds planted were from a coffee plant that belonged to the owner of the coffee shop. The plant had a deep green color. The seeds were dropped into the earth in a potted plant, like a seedling, and the farmhouse employees would walk by the plant and feel it's heart. The owner of the farmhouse said it was the “heartiest” plant he had ever seen.

Riverwoods Homestay is a small coffee estate in Chikmagalur of about 2 acres. It is spread across 3 acres of land. We have about 18 rooms in 3 different buildings. We have 2 coffee planters in our estate. The first planter is named “Ganga” and the second is named “Krishna”. The coffee plants in our estate get their name from the river that runs beside the estate.
